We went on a long walk over to the park after Mary got warmed up and was ready to go. We came back to the house and had a snack and then went for a drive to a couple of stores. When we got back, Peter and Amie were home. I was trying to get Mary to help me fold her laundry but she couldn't focus on that with them there. She's always worried about Peter and what's going on. She had an ok day today. 

From the minute I walked in I could tell Mary was a little off today. She was a little dissociative and took her a while to warm up to me. We went to Memory Grove and then lunch at Shanghai. When we got back, I tried a few times to get her to take a nap. She just wanted to be left alone. She did rest for a little bit.

Mary was up and had breakfast already, after her shower and when she was ready to go, we went for a drive and then to Liberty park. We stopped and had lunch at a bench and then went all over the park. It was a good walk. We went to a couple stores afterwards too. When we came back home she read a National Geographic magazine. It was a good day for Mary.

We went for a drive and I showed Mary where I used to live. We drove up to the H rock up in the foothills. We started to go on a trail that I found but Mary thought that it was too scary. We drove back down to Sugar House park and went for a walk there and then had lunch at Taco Bell. When we came back home, she was off on another walk. I let her go on her own for a while, but followed her. (While on our walk at Sugar House park, Mary was worried about Peter a lot and asking if he was there and that she needed to get back to him).

It's snowy today! We are having December weather in April. It's crazy. After Mary's shower, I made some breakfast. We relaxed, read and cleaned. She read the National Geographic for a long time! We went for a small walk later in the day. It's still snowing...

Monday April 13, 2015

Mary was up when I came in. We got warmed up together and then she took a shower. We went to International Peace Gardens today. It was a nice day and pretty at the park. We sat and had lunch and then after a bit, we drove to Sugar house park and walked around. We came home and Mary had a snack. We were sitting in her room and her throat made a funny noise, we both just looked at each other and started laughing. Every time we would look at each other we'd start laughing. That lasted for a while!

When I came over, Mary was sitting on the couch. I got a blanket to keep her warm. It was cold outside. It had been raining/snowing. We looked at and read an article about a tribe in New Guinea. It was interesting. She had a shower, warmed up, had some lunch and then we drove to Trolley Square and went for a walk and looked around in a few stores. She was feeling anxious and wanted to leave.We drove to Liberty park and went for a walk until it started to rain. The walk was cut short. We then went over to Sugar House park and watched the birds until it stopped raining. We went for a short walk, it was a lot colder out. When we got back in the car. Mary was clapping her hands and saying "Heaven's to Betsy". We were laughing and glad to be someplace warm. When we got back to the house I had her choose a snack.

Mary was just getting up when I came over. Peter got her some breakast then left for a class. Mary got warmed up and then took a shower. When she was ready to go, we drove over to Sugar House park and sat in the car for a bit and watched the birds and had a snack. It was windy and cold but we went for a couple of walks. We drove over to Shopko and walked around the store and looked around. We went over to Dunkin Donuts and got some hot chocolate. They came over with 6 glazed donuts and told us Happy Easter, that was nice! Can't beat free anything. When we got home, Peter was back and doing some work. Mary was anxious so we went for a walk. Closer towards her house, she was almost running. I asked her to slow down but she was saying things that didn't make sense. She had high anxiety. I gave her her meds at 4:15. Peter came home and she seemed to calm down.

April Fool's! Too bad I didn't have the time to do anything.

Mary was just waking up when I came over. I got her a blanket to help get her warmed up. She took a shower with a little prompting and then had breakfast. We went on an errand and then we stopped by a Senior Center in her neighborhood. I was explaining I wanted to go and check it out and see if they had any fun activities to do. She wasn't interested, we'll try another day. We went over to Sugar House park and people watched then went for a walk. She wasn't interested in a lot today. Peter was home and eating lunch, I asked Mary if she would do me a favor and go on a walk with me. She just said no, it made us laugh. She did end up reading almost the whole article about Cleopatra in the National Geographic magazine! We went for 1 1/2 hour walk to the park, under the tunnel, up quite a few stairs and down 13th East. I had to re-direct her home. She would have kept going, but it was time for me to go. She had a lot of energy later in the day. She's going to a game later on too. She kept me busy, I didn't have time to play any April fool's jokes ;)
