When Mary was ready to go we went to Gigal Sculpture Gardens, it was closed. It's supposed to be open with the exception of a few holiday's. We went to a neighborhood park downtown and enjoyed the warm weather. It was a really nice day! It was a small park so we went over to Liberty Park and had a good walk and then we picked up some lunch at Taco Bell and took to that over to Sugar House park. We ate and had another good walk there too. When we got back to the house, Mary wanted to go for a walk. We went up the street and then she painted a little back at the house and looked at the Natural History book. She took a small nap and helped fold towels before I left.

Wednesday March 25, 2015

Mary had showered and dressed already by the time I came over. Peter is off his ski patrol job now. Mary will get to see him a little more :) Even though she wasn't having a very good morning, we went for a drive. I asked Mary if she wanted to walk or drive. She wanted to drive. We went over to Liberty park for a little walk. We walked by the Aviary but she didn't feel like going. It was a little cold. We drove up Emigration canyon and then came down and went for a walk by the Brigham Young monument across from the zoo. I saw a free entrance to the museum at Ft. Douglas and thought that might be something fun to do. They were closed. We walked around Wasatch Hollow park. The breeze was cold, Mary didn't want to walk for a long time today. At one point she said something like 'just drive, no walk, just drive'. It was kinda funny. When we got back to the house Claire and Eliza were getting ready to leave to go to the store for bird supplies for Mary. I came a long too. Mary now has a bird feeder right out the living room window. That will be fun for her. It was nice to talk and visit with Claire and Eliza. I wish I would have taken a picture of all of them together! I hope they have a safe trip back home.

How fun for Mary! She has family visiting her for a few days. It was nice to meet her daughter Claire and Mary's granddaughter Eliza (sp?). Mary is off of her normal routine that we have in the mornings and she was a little confused with that. She had a shower on Sunday instead of Monday. We did things a little backwards today and she didn't want to get dressed. She had already eaten, it was a little harder to get her to get dressed. I had her color/draw pictures from the magazines that we were looking at. We ended up going for a walk. I left early today so Mary could go out with Peter and Claire. 

We saw this turkey on our way back to the house.

Mary was up when I got to the house this morning. We looked at the Natural History book and I gave her her med's about 8:00. We visited for a bit and then she got ready for the day, with a little prompting. We rested and then went for a walk. I lost her for a few minutes :/ she went out on a walk by herself. I didn't hear her leave. When we got back, I fixed some lunch and we looked at the Natural History book again. I'm not feeling very good again today, we had a mellow day. Mary took a nap and then we went for a walk up to Wasatch Hollow park. She needed a little redirecting back home. When Peter came home, they were getting ready to leave to watch Elise play a soccer game. 

I wasn't feeling very good today so we had a really mellow day. Mary was still sleeping when I came over and woke up around 8ish. She rested on the couch, had a banana, juice and her med's at 8:30. She was finally ready to get ready for the day. We rested, went for a walk and watched video's about birds, animals and Patagonia mountains. Elise took over at 5:30.

Mary was still sleeping when I came over today. She had a late start to the day. It took a while for her to want to get in the shower. We had breakfast and then drove to Dollar Tree to pick out some flowers for a spring wreath. She likes yellow ;) We walked a few laps around

the store too. We stopped at the thrift store next to Dollar Tree, but I think it was just a little overwhelming. We didn't stay long. We came home, had lunch and then worked on the wreath. It turned out pretty good :) she rested on the couch and then we went for a walk over to Sugar House park. It was a long walk. We stopped and watched a Lacrosse game too. When we got back to the house, Mary was getting ready to go to a soccer game with everyone. 

Mary was still sleeping when I got to the house today. When she woke up she looked really tired. We had a slow, restful morning. After her shower and breakfast, she relaxed on the couch and we watched the rest of the video we were watching on Wednesday. We watched a couple others too. We had a snack at the park, went for a walk and watched the birds. We were starting to go downhill and Mary said "It's all down hill from here" "Oh, I don't mean you" It was funny. We came back and went to Einstein's for a late lunch. When we got back she 'checked' the house. We talked about what we were going to do on Wednesday. She was a little anxious later in the day. I had her fold some towels for me, that seemed to calm her down; enough to the point that she was laughing at things. She rested on the couch for a bit. 

Wednesday March 4, 2015

Mary was up with I came over. We visited for a bit and read the paper. It was a little harder getting Mary to want to shower and get dressed today. I believe it's from a change in her regular morning routine. After breakfast, she sat down on the couch, we read and looked at a magazine and she took a small nap. We drove over to Sugar House park and had a good walk. We went to Dunken Donuts for a snack and then I had to go to the bank. She waited patiently for me ;) we had lunch at Wendy's and then we walked around a couple of stores. I could tell she wanted to go home. She made herself a snack when we got back to the house. She was a little anxious so we went for a walk around the neighborhood. She talked to 3 different people. Some good conversation, some a little confused. She just wants the neighborhood to be taken care of. We walked home and she paced. I had her fold some towels and then we sang and watched Sound of Music video clips and then we watched part of a show about South Africa and the animal's. We'll watch the rest on Monday. She was really interested in it.

I visited with Mary for a bit before she got in the shower and got ready for the day. A little after breakfast, we went for a walk at Costco, it was too cold and windy for her today to walk outside. After walking around and trying some samples ;) we had lunch at Costco after our walk.  After it warmed up a bit, we went for a walk at Sugarhouse park. She was really into showing me the birds, the dogs and the mountains, of course ;) When we got back to the house, she made herself a snack. She had a really good day!
