Mary was already up and sitting in the living room when I got to the house today. We took time and visited, looked at a magazine and then she got ready for the day. We had some breakfast together then looked at the calendar. She was cold and wanted to sit and get warm. We went out to the library, looked for a new book but just looked at magazines instead. I thought we could go to Tracy Aviary today but Mary was cold and it was windy. There's always another day ;) We went to Taco Bell for lunch then went to the park for a short walk. We took a Catalyst magazine from the library and she was looking at that and the Natural History book. We had some good conversations today. I fixed her some dinner before Peter came home.
We were both tired this morning. After we put the dishes away we looked through the calendar and then when we were ready to go, we went for a walk over to Sugarhouse park. We walked around the whole park and then walked home, got some money and went to Dunkin Donuts for lunch. Mary took a little nap and then we did the sensory game, guessing what was in cups by touch only. I had her guess what hobbies/activities I was doing too. Kind of like charades. It was kind of silly but we both thought it was funny and it made us laugh. Later on we worked on a floor plan of my tiny house. I showed her some pictures of what I was going to do. We cleaned out her bedroom drawers and then looked at the Natural History book. I fixed her some soup and then she wanted to get ready for bed. Peter came home and got to visit with her before she went to bed.
Mary relaxed a little longer today after she woke up. We sat and visited before she got in the shower, with a little coaxing. When she was ready we had breakfast and then we did a sensory game; guessing items in cups with touch only. We looked at the bird book and tried to find a bird that matched a picture on the calendar. We looked at the book for a while and then we got ready to go for a walk. It was cold, so a short walk. We came back, had some tea, looked at the Natural History book and had some lunch. Mary wanted to go on another walk, we went on a long walk around the neighbor hood, came back, had tea and then we went to Barne's and Noble and then for a drive up to the Capitol. We walked around and looked inside but Mary wasn't interested. It was good to hear her laugh today though. I fixed her a little to eat before I left.
Today is my first day back with Mary in a while. I'm sure she really enjoyed having all of her family here this holiday season. After she was ready for the day, we had some breakfast. It was really rainy so we looked at her bird calendar that I brought for her. We couldn't decide on where to put it though ;) We looked at more pictures on my computer and then I let her rest for a little bit (She was tired today and took a couple small naps). We did a sensory game, guessing what items were by touch only. We had some lunch, looked at the bird book and calendar again then went for a drive to get out and find someplace to go for a walk. It was really raining hard so we ended up just going for a drive. We stopped at Dunkin Donuts for hot chocolate and coffee. We did exercises when we got back to the house. We watched a Christmas movie, it was cute :) I'll see Mary again on Wednesday. She gave me two hugs before I left. :)
Mary was cold this morning. It rained earlier this morning. We visited, looked at the pictures in the cook book and the calendar. After her shower and breakfast we sorted buttons and then I got out my paints. I forgot my paint brushes again today so I got some straws and we painted using the blowing technique. ;) She was saying 'this isn't really my thing' but she was a good sport. We got some pine cone's out and rolled them in the paint for a pretty decoration. Mary is still cold. We went to Dollar Tree and picked up some things for next week and then we went to Einsteins for a snack. We went for a walk inside at Home Goods and TJ Maxx and then drove to the park and went for another walk too. We came home and she rested for a bit and then had a late lunch. We played with the colored marbles and then I got out the boards that we got at Dollar Tree. Mary decided which birds would go on each board. We are going to do a collage on Monday.
